Letting the universe know you are there

What a great way to show the universe you are ready to receive!  This morning while sipping my java and trying to motivate myself for the hectic day ahead, I heard one of the many side conversations mumbling by the adjacent television, that perked my anteana to the roof.  A man walked into a coffee shop and started screaming, "I'm Rich! I'm Rich!", all the while he was throwing money in the air.  Naturally, the patrons were shocked and thought the man had gone stark raven mad!

What these folks do not know is that this man was letting the universe reflect back to him what he wishes to project.

He got it right - and he knew it!

You see, the universe acts as a giant reflection of what our thoughts and projections are.  Somewhat similar to a gargantuan copy machine, if you will.  So each time you say, "I am broke" or "I need more money" the universe simply repeats that energy pattern right back to you. Just as you hit that copy button on the big  Xerox robot, it starts spitting it out again, and again, and again.
I am broke
I am broke
I am broke
Continously repeating the same picture over and over until you give it a different command.  Each day will present new and different perimeters to keep you in the same financial position.  Until of course, you shift gears in your consciousness and start projecting a new reality.
Problem is, that as logical, rational human beings we tend to see only on a surface level.  If there is no money in your bank account, the brain says "I am broke" and although that it may be true in that very moment, that is a temporary monetary condition and not a permanent dictation of who you are.  And yet, this is what we do.  We create a permanent label to a temporary condition.
How do you break the pattern?  Well, this man...got it right.  Take a bold stand and hit a different button on the machine, take what you have and give it away.  This is a CRYSTAL CLEAR message (to be duplicated by the copy machine), "I have plenty of money, so much that I can certainly afford to give some of it away."

For your enjoyment, I have posted the link below for you to watch the clip yourself:

"Will you help me?" - How to know when it's ok to ask...

Some days I find it so incomprehensible that people always assume to know what other people are thinking.  I find that often times people lose out on incredible opportunities as a result of taking such an approach.  In  understanding the law of attraction it is of great importance to pay attention!  Don't walk away from a situation and say "wow, wasn't that interesting?  What a coincidence".
NO!!  The universe has just placed just the right person, with just the right education and/or skill set directly in front of you as the next step toward your goal.
Perhaps this person has just the right contact or knows the "how to", that you need.  Once your intention is clear...PAY ATTENTION!  Open your eyes and ears and walk with the expectancy of witnessing magic happen right before your eyes.  Astonishing events are about to unfold and too often we miss the moment because we really have become bad receivers.
When someone enters your circle that has the tools to help you, for goodness sakes... ASK!
Do not assume for one single solitary second, that this person is not willing to help you.
Chances are VERY good that that is exactly why they are there.
As a common denominator, we tend to project our own opinions, objectives and fears onto other people.  You do not know what this person is thinking, doing or even being in that moment.
Assume NOTHING.
Ask with the expectancy to get it.  Ask with the openness of receiving.  Ask, knowing that you are allowing the other person the privilege of honoring their desire to give.
Look, the reality is, is that you have nothing to lose by asking, and everything to gain.  If the person says no to your request, you are still exactly where you were before you asked - nothing lost.  But if they says YES, you have now achieved the next step toward your goal.
ASK, ASK, ASK!!!
Always remember this...No Ask, No Get.  It is that simple.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket!

When the world seems to be on the brink of destruction on every level, how do you stay positive????
Everywhere I look, from the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt and Libya, to the mass natural destruction of the Japanese (not to mention the impending radioactive meltdown) and the Haitians, to the suffering of the hungry and unemployed in my own country, it is an extreme challenge to stay focused in faith and feel good about life.
Last night I laid awake for hours with vivid images running through my mind of the pain and suffering taking place around the globe.  We all see it, but what can we do about it?
For most of us, we feel the compassion and do the only thing we can do...
write a check to the red cross
Somehow that seems to settle our sense of urgency.  It allows us a small sense of feeling like we have contributed something.
In the context of The Law of Attraction, I ask myself, could it be that ALL of these people attracted this?  I would firmly argue NOT!  So how is it that with all of the learning and teaching that I have done on this subject it all comes down to a question that I cannot answer?  The first lesson I learned in understanding the law of attraction was to take 100% responsibility for EVERYTHING  in your life.  I feel quite confident that I have achieved that personally.  But as I continue to teach and view the circumstances around the planet I am left with some pretty conflicting philosophies to weed through.
It has been my experience for many years that things just happen.  It is only over the last 13 years that I would place myself accountable for those things.  But in the grand scheme of life I have found that events seem to take place (which seem to be totally out of our control) to bring us to the next stage in our own individual evolution.  I did not come from an ideal all American lifestyle.  My entire life from the time I was born was hard - really hard.  It seemed as though everyday presented a whole host of challenges in survival.  I could go on and on about the things I have been through but the reality of it all is that we all have our own story.  My life may have been very difficult in some ways while yours may have been difficult in others.  We are all the same, just with a different story to tell.  Each of these stories grant us the opportunity to learn and grow... if we so choose.
As a result, I have to remind myself that for those people who have crossed over during these times of turmoil, have gone just at the right time for them.  On a soul level, I believe we all are aware of our timeline on this planet.  I have watched helplessly, painfully while several of my own family members have left and felt bitter and selfish in my own self pity.  And yet, there is a peace inside of me that knows that they knew they were leaving - this was evident in the conversations during the months prior.
For those who continue to be the struggling warriors in this quest, I must resolve myself to knowing that most of them will learn, grow and evolve from these challenging times.  This is the positive perspective that I must maintain for myself.  For after all, I can only be responsible for me and the world will always be a reflection of my perspective.
The events of the world will always be.  It is only our view of it that can give us peace (or turmoil) within our own selves.

I'm always right...DEAL WITH IT!

Once again, I am faced with the incredible account of watching the human ego stand in the way of greatness.  If we can be honest with ourselves, we can admit that we have all done it.
Try to remember a time when you lost out on something (perhaps something great), because you thought you knew it all.  I will openly admit, it has happen to me and unfortunately I have had to pay the price for it more times than I care to count.  Those times have proven to me that my ego is quite expensive!
When talking about the law of attraction and letting the universe know what it is that you want, it is important to realize that perhaps it is best to be open to the way it is delivered.  This is not to say to settle for things that you don't want but to understand that the chemicalization process is ALWAYS to be considered.
What is chemicalization?
Chemicalization is the process that gets you from point A to point B.  So for instance, let's say you decide that you want a job promotion.  Your intent is clear.  You visualize yourself as being the Vice President of corporation XYZ.  Currently you are a clerk in the mail room.  There is nothing inherently wrong with you setting that goal for yourself.  In time, it can certainly be an obtainable goal.  One must admit, however, that chances are good that you are not currently equipped to hold the position that you are seeking.  Chemicalization sets the pace for you to learn what you need to learn in order to get the position you desire.  Perhaps it is that you are offered a new position as a customer service representative.  Suddenly, there is an anger that bubbles with the thought that this is not what you asked for!  Avail yourself to the possibility that the new position offered will bring new understanding to the process of the corporation.  A stepping stone, per se.  Over time, the universe will continue to open the doors of learning to avail you the education needed to get the job you intend for yourself.
If the genie in the bottle popped out and said "OK, you are now Vice President", the likelihood of success in maintaining that position are slim to none.  This is why 95% of the people who win the lottery are bankrupt within the first five years!  You must be equipped to handle the responsibility that comes with the things you ask for.  Too often we see things only as we choose to see them, rather than what is actually being shown to us.
This reminds me of a story that I have shared many times, and feel it necessary to include once more.  I wish I could give credit to the person who first told the tale, but I don't know who it was so I will just say, clearly profound:
During a time of great flood there was a man who had tremendous faith in God.  Although he had heard radio reports that everyone should evacuate the area, he said to himself  "I am a man of faith, and I know that God will keep me safe.  I am not leaving my home."  With that the water began to rise.  As the neighborhood was drowning and was more of a lake rather than roads and sidewalks, the man heard voices yelling out to him.  It was a boat outside his door.  The rescue team was calling out, "Sir, we are in a state of emergency, you must evacuate your home now!  We are here to help you out".  The man replied, "I am a man of faith, and I know that God will keep me safe.  I am not leaving my home."
Soon the water levels had risen so high that the man was forced to climb to his rooftop for safety.  Shortly thereafter he noticed a helicopter approaching.  The rescue team was calling out, "Sir, we are in a state of emergency, you must evacuate your home now! We are here to help you out". Once again the man replied, "I am a man of faith, and I know that God will keep me safe. I am not leaving my home."
As he approached the pearly gates to meet with God, he said "I do not understand, I am a man of faith, I trusted with all of my heart that I was not in danger...?"
With that God replied "My son, I sent you a radio broadcast, I sent you a boat, I sent you a helicopter...why the hell are you here?!"

When setting your intentions for the things that you would like to have, choose, or see in your life, always bear in mind that you may not know the best or shortest route to get there.  Avail yourself to the understanding that as human beings we have a tendency to try and "control" what happens in every area of our lives.  Sometimes, it is best to simply let go and watch the unfolding.  You will always get what it is that you are intending, as long as the intention is clear.  Trust and gratitude for what is showing up in your life at this moment is the key to understanding that the universe is ALWAYS working in your favor and will bring you to where you want to be.  Recently, my friend Mario shared with me a mantra that I now use frequently, and that is "I do not know, what I do not know".
As such, I am left with the understanding that TRUST is necessary element in evolution.

The Perception of Power

Today I had the privilege of being posted as a "MEET MARSHALL".  Privilege?, well, let me re-think that one. . .  OK, so I was "assigned" to be a meet marshall.  Unless you are involved in swimming yourself, or a parent to a swimmer, the term is probably just as foreign to you as it was to me.  Until of course today.

My stepdaughter is on a swim team and they are always looking for volunteers to help at the meets.  Quite frankly I am very busy and find it challenging enough to make the time to go to the events and so when I am there, the last thing I want to be doing is working. 'Let me sit just in the stands, drink my java and route her on.'

When I found out that if I were to volunteer for a job, we will be reimbursed $75.00 on her tuition, I thought, SIGN ME UP - how hard could it be?!  Well, that was at the last meet.  Last time I was assigned to be a "TIMER".  Wow, talk about some serious pressure (and I am not referring to the sinus pressure in my head from the chlorine overdose)!  As a timer you are responsible for a fraction of a second which makes the difference in who places and who doesn't - so for God's sake, DON'T SNEEZE !!
Anyway, today was very different.  They gave me an official "MEET MARSHALL" t-shirt, neon yellow, of course.  The dang thing was ten times the size of my body.  So to try and avoid looking like a giant marshmallow dipped in road paint, I attempted to tie the lower portion into a knot.  A little apprehensive about my appearance, I thought I would take on a new perspective and dive into the role I had just been assigned, after all... I am a MARSHALL!
As marshall, you are basically the pool police.  Make sure no parents sneak onto the pool deck, tackle the kids that are trying to climb the wall above the bleachers, no food, no street shoes on the deck, monitor the crowd, etc.  I scanned the auditorium looking at all the people.  How effective can I be?  Sure I might be able to intimidate an eight year old enough to make them stay on their towel, but what about his 6'3", 275lb father who is breaking all the rules?
Much to my surprise, most of the people saw the yellow shirt coming and were very accommodating (perhaps a little intimidated) and polite.  I felt powerful.  All I had to do was wave my finger at some of the kids and they jumped to attention.  Others, however, would ignore all levels of authority.  As I watched the ones that I had to repeatedly reprimand, I realized that it was not the yellow shirt that made them defiant it was the lack of discipline their parents had instilled.  Gosh, remember when we were kids?  You didn't dare talk back to an adult.  You'd be lucky not to get whopped by the person, let alone what your parents would do when they found out!  Boy, have times changed.  I am always astonished by the parent who tries to be their kids' friend and let them do and say whatever they want in fear that their children won't like them.  Let me be the first to tell you, that's not your job!  A parent's job is just that...to parent!  Not to be a friend.  You'll have plenty of time for that when your children grow into respectful, independent human beings and then you can develop a friendship.  This is not to say you have to be a militant who has children who fear you, but it does mean that it is more important to teach them so that you will actually like them when they are adults.  Trust me if they disrespect you when they are young, they will never grow into respecting you later on, the disrespect only gets worse.
Throughout the day I was tossed between feeling like a powerhouse who could make the public move in a blink of an eye and the overwhelming sense of discouragement in our future generations.  So, after a nice long comfortable nap on a rainy Sunday afternoon, I awoke with a peace of returning to my sanctuary and knowing that we are all doing the best we can with what we know.  In the words of my dear friend Elaine, I must return once more to MYOR (mind your own reality).
I find that when I do that, life becomes... simple again. Peaceful. I can choose to be angry at others and let them disturb my peace, or I can just simply be.

Attraction in Action . . .

I am absolutely bursting with excitement as I write this.  Anytime I get to fully witness the unfolding of the law of attraction in action, it pulses an explosion of passion through my veins like a rush of the ocean pounding on the shore.  Not only for the person it is working for, but as a direct impact of how phenominal the universe is in it's exactness to transcribe the desires of each and everyone of us... if only we use it.

Two weeks ago I was discussing the law of attraction with my friend Missy.  Knowing me for sometime, she had been exposed to the concept, but not truly implementing the process with any conviction.  We had spoken about her career and where she wanted it to go.  I shared with her that I felt the various "options" that she conveyed where extremely diverse (albeit, all sharing one common goal) and seemingly haphazard.  I expressed to her that I thought it would be important for her to truly examine and define her "dream job".  What is it that your passionate about?

Missy decided to re-write her resume.  Rather than creating a "standard" format resume, she became creative and decided to lay it out more in the form of a letter,  describing "who" she was.  This single event was a clear indication to the universe of the vision of "Missy".  Not who she was today, but who she was as a result of all of her experiences and what she had to offer.  In that moment, she defined her dream job.

For more than a couple of decades, Missy worked in the world of television production for one of the bigboy networks in the industry.  This was her passion.  When she read her letter to me, I asked if she was interested in working production for someone or creating her own production company.  Her response was simple and as expected for someone new to understanding the law of attraction.  She replied by saying that she certainly could not start her own, as this could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and that was not on the table at the moment.  With that, I invited Missy to assist me in creating some YouTube videos.  I knew that this would start the energy in motion for her and get her back in the grove of igniting the fire for herself.  Those of you who were present at the last lecture on Positive Perspectives at the Nurtured Spirit last week would have seen Missy operating the camera, recording the event.

Today, through a simple read article in the newspaper and a single telephone call, (NOTEsee the sign, catch it and act!)  Missy has now be given an incredible opportunity to use a studio and all of it's production equipment, have training for her entire crew for seven weeks, and the availability to create her own programs with airing on a television broadcast channel -- all for FREE!  AMAZING!  Over a quarter of million dollars worth of opportunity layed at her feet, just by calling it forth...
Does it get any better than this?
So, then I pose the question to you...  Why aren't you doing it?
